"The disease of disdain for understanding the enemy has entered the IDF"

Eliyau Yosian, an expert on Iran and the Middle East: "Not knowing Arabic is an insult to Middle Eastern culture. This is an underestimation of the enemy's understanding, and the same disease has entered the IDF as well. The senior officers go to Harvard for prestigious degrees. But in the Middle East they don't speak Harvard. They should study in Beirut, Tehran, Cairo, Amman, they should know Arabic and Persian and understand what Islam is."
Interview with Eliyau Yosian - part 2/2 | 26.03.2024
